fire in a tunnel simulation

hi,
We are working on a simulation of a fire in the middle of a tunnel with some exhauster fans in the ceiling. At the moment, our model works fine in the horizontal position, but when we try to decompose the gravity in 2 directions, the results aren't logical: the sense of the flux in the fans changes over the time, and in some areas there is a excecive velocity.  We would appreciate if someone explains us why our flux in the fans changes its direction, even after we require a presure gauge.
