How to make a porous media ??

I'm working Fluent v13 ..

I wanna study the flow inside a porous media ..
but I'm new to the program and I dunno how to define a porous media :/

Can you help with that ?

I'm also having the same problem.

You need to define the region as a separate fluid zone when you create the geometry, and then in the 'fluid zone' definition in Fluent, you can click on the 'porous' option.
You need to specify the porous zone properties, like porosity and the inertial and viscous resistances.

Alternately you could approximate your 3d porous zone as a 2d surface and use the porous jump boundary condition, where you specify your inertial & viscous resistances and your media thickness.
Porous jump will not account for resistances in the 3 (x,y,z) directions but consider them to be normal to the surface only.
