Hello all
I am new to CFD and Fluent. I am simulating unsteady flow past circular cylinder. I got a sinusoidal variation in lift coefficient during simulation. I need to find strouhal frequency from graph. How to use FFt in fluent to obtain frequency? Can someone guide me please Regards Mahindra |

Hi!
As I know - there is no embedded method for FFT. You can write to file any values depending on time and then you can use any sowtware... MathCad, MatLAB... Most simple way - to see your function on the screen and find distance between peaks. |

Hi..Even I am very new to Fluent and CFD but as far as I know, you can access the FFT facility by turning ON the acoustics option and then choosing the Williams model in it. You need to give the source of the sound and the receivers' locations. Then in graphics and animation you get the option to plot the FFT graph.
