I have used GRIDPRO for generating mesh on multi-element airfoils and for wind turbine rotors.

It is the tool for very high quality (blockstructured) hexahedral meshes.

So what's your question?

I use it, but I was wondering how many people are using it. Besides that I would like to know their experience:

Is GridPro being improved, further developed?
What is the best alternative package available?
What is the best tool to generate an input geometry (STL) for GridPro?

yes, I believe they are improving it further.

What is the best alternative package available?
I have used GRIDGEN,ICEM-CFD & GRIDPRO. With my experience, I prefer GRIDPRO, because it generates high quality multiblock structured grids and moreover it is highly automated and therefore smoothens the mesh, ensures orthogonality throughout the mesh.

I don't have much experience in CAD softwares, but we use UG NX for STL outputs.

Hi Jaap... You can use CADfix for getting a good geometry
