I,m learning how to work on CFD for my phd studies. Im not doing anything "extreme" since my research is mostly experimental. I would just like to use some CFD to validate my work.

Do you think this computer is good enough? (US$ 2200)

Processor: I7-3930k (6x 3.20 ghz)

Cooling system:corsair hydro series H60 liquid cooling system (ARC dual silent high performance fan)

Video card: Nvidia GeForce 760 GTX 2gb

Motherboard: ASUS P9X79 LE. 2 x USB 3.0

Im using ansys fluent and star ccm+

Well, we have no idea at all about the magnitude of the problem that you need to solve, therefore we can't really comment without any certainty. However, that is a nice system, and you can do a lot of "meaningful" work with it.
