Best HP workstation for Star-CCM+

Hello everybody,
I have to choose between these two HP workstations to work with the last version of Star-CCM+ (to simulate flows inside rooms or small/medium devices), can you suggest me the best choice?
I will use Windows XP 64-bit.

1) XW6600
Processor Intel Xeon E5420 Quad-core 2.50 GHz, EM64T
Chipset: Intel 5400
Cache: 12 MB
RAM: 8 GB DDR2-667/PC2-5300 ECC
NVIDIA QUADRO FX 1800
HD: (250 GB + 250 GB) SATA 7200 rpm

2) Z600
Processor Intel Xeon E5530 Quad-core 2.40 GHz, EM64T
Chipset: Intel 5520
Cache: 8 MB
RAM: 6 GB DDR3-1333/PC3-10600 (I cannot add other RAM, because if I would do it I have to add a second processor but it should be unused by Star-CCM+ because I have a license for single processor)
NVIDIA QUADRO FX 1800
HD: 500 GB SATA 7200 rpm

Thank you very much
Luca

PS: they have the same price

Your second option is based on Intel's latest architecture. Since you don't have multiple licenses, the scaling is not important, but if you ever do, it will scale far better than the first option. At this point, I would not buy Intel's old architecture anymore. Go with option 2.
