"Thesis on the wings of A320 - Airbus"

I am doing a thesis on the wings of the A320 - Airbus and I am looking, in file form with extension "iges" or "step", one of the two wings of the A320 Airbus. It would be best if I could find it as a Solidworks file.

If you have it, I would be very greatful if you can send it to me so that I can go on with my thesis.

Thanks in advance

Hi Gus.

Well, techinacally speaking the A320 has just one wing and not two. You're obviously referring to the semi-wing.
Anyway. It's not necessary to find the .sldprt format. IGES and STEP are supported by Solidworks.

Your professor doesn't have those files you need?

In my aerodynamic class, i've been told that some airfoil are kept secret, isn't the case with airbus ?

You can reverse engineer with 3D laser scanner.

FAR is right, nowadays 3d laser scanner are just like microwaves, you can find one in every house, you just need an a320... WTF

That being said, if you are looking for a geometry, google is your best friend, start by looking in grabcad.com , or any similar websites, that's your best chance...

did you check the website of spaceclaim ? they were able to get the wing type shape from just two rough views. If you can find simple sketches on net, then you can use spaceclaim to get the full 3d geometry.
