For most of us, the noun gambit is associated with Fluent's pre processor and mesh generator, some of us, who play chess, will say it is the first move in a chess game. Here is another meaning

Then there's Gambit the superhero, who was a member of the X-Men. The character appears in the latest X-Men movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
