Very Basic Question
 
When I use CFD, I input my variables and my output is either a series of numeric values that answer my questions OR a visual output that shows me the fluid flows and behavior of my model?

Depends on which software you use for your CFD analysis. If you use commercial softwares then sure they give you option of graphical display, however if you use your own code then you will get only numerics, which you will have to transform to graphics.

No, the output is always numerical, but depending on the software you are using, it might be represented as a visualization of these numbers. But the pretty pictures are just another layer of model/discretization with its own errors on top of the results from the numerics,
