hi there, i'm edison from Malaysia. i'm facing the big problem now....i'm asking to develop the program. But the problem is i even cant get the finite-difference equation to write the source code in C++ language.... so i need ppl give help now.... the quetions i have is about the SUPERSONIC FLOW OVER A FLAT PLATE: NUMERICAL SOLUTION BY SOLVING THE COMPLETE NAVIER-STOKES EQUATIONS. i'm using the Maccromack method to solver this problems. the finite-difference eq. was so complicated... its include the second-order of partial differeciation TAUyy,TAUxx,TAUyx..... so can u give me some guide??

below is the link to the questions. http://s6.yousendit.com/d.aspxid=39B...R2X0WJL5KG31MO thanks for help...i appreciate so much....

Hi,

Your file has expired.

Anyway, your problem is a classical one, and is not considered a BIG BIG one

It corresponds to the chapter 10 of http://www.cfd-online.com/Books/show_book.php?book_id=3

Regards

Hi,

1) for the 2nd order differenciation, everything is explained before in the book. You can find some examples of codes on the web, especially simple ones to see how a discretized equation is coded, like in http://www.sali.freeservers.com/engi...cfd_codes.html

2) to call a function/subroutine etc. it depends on the language you are using. Try first to set up a very small program, to see how to call a function and to pass arguments from a function to another.

3) if you are waiting for "the solution ", you may wait for long, you'd better try first to do it by yourself, then try to ask your course-mate and/or teacher ...

Good luck

Edison,

To be rather honest... those equations are no big deal to set up. Get hold of a good CFD book - eg. Anderson, as suggested by someone & go through the learning exercise. you will thank yourself in the end.

You can even do a rough setup in Matlab.
