A way to optimize the WENO scheme by optimizing the coefficients of linear scheme
In classic WENO schemes, in smooth solution, the WENO will become linear scheme because the ideal coefficients are well designed. For example, as for fifth order WENO scheme the coefficients of the three linear scheme are 3/10,6/10,1/10. Today I change the values of the coefficients. The solution of Shu-osher is much better. I am wondering whether has any reference done similar work before.ie. optimizing the coefficients? Thank you
