Turbulence model on a riser

Hi!
I'm working with a FSI project on a riser subjected to VIV using a coupling between Abaqus and Acusolve. I try to find information about appropriate turbulence models for this application or if the flow can be treated as laminar? /Anton |

Hi Anton,
This is definitely late answer, but from the selection of offshore publications, it could be seen that turbulence models are Spalart Allmaras and Detached Eddy Simulation (DES). Regards, |
