Hello everyone.

I was wondering (as was another on this forum) if there is be a good website (not necessarily on the CFD-online wiki page) to post our finite volume method MATLAB codes that we have developed so that others may use them in their academic learning and reduce their struggling when learning to program.

My codes are simple, first step programs, designed to give others a "starting" point when learning to code. Specifically, they are my first attempts at solving the worked examples presented in Versteeg. As my programming is weak, I have struggled for the past few months to find examples of coding that I could work off and what I have found was a little too advanced for me at that point in time. I often needed a starting point; basically saying "this is how you make a simple grid for a 1-D problem," "this is how you set up a tridiagonal matrix to solve for your fluid temperature" etc... It seems when I searched for FVM matlab examples, I found advanced N-S lid driven cavity programs (which are wonderful and will be very helpful after a little familiarization, just a little too advanced for the engineer just learning to program) but I really struggled finding "starting point" programs to familiarize to myself with the MATLAB language.

We were hoping to find a easily located website (through google/yahoo/etc search) to share our codes with. Does anyone have any suggestions (besides this website and the mathworks site)? Thanks for reading!

Send a message via Skype™ to julien.decharentenay
sourceforge.net would be a good place (provided that you are happy to release the code under an opensource license compatible with their policy).

You may want to get a link to the sourceforge project on cfd-online.
