Recommending a CFD consultant

We need to do some CFD work to analyze one of our products; air flow over a heatsink, nothing too complicated. Could you please recommend any good CFD consultants/companies to approach, preferably in California or on the west coast. I already contacted a few, including ANSYS and Fluent, but I can not judge who to go with because I have no experience in CFD.

Thanks,

If you are looking for a quick and reasonably accurate solution use ICEPAK (It is a FLUENT product) and very easy to use even if that is your first time. But if you are looking for a detailed thermal analysis use WINTHERM and RADTHERM then export the results to FLUENT

Try ESI-CFD (CFD-ACE+) in Santa Clara or their headquarters in Huntsville http://www.esi-group.com/SimulationS.../advanced.html

Try FLOTHERM,

www.flotherm.com

Flomerics Inc. 4699 Old Ironsides Drive - #390 Santa Clara California 95054-1860 US

Tel: +1 (408) 562 9100 Fax: +1 (408) 562 9101

They started modelling electronics way before Fluent and co. They are ahead on everyone! Good luck!

Hi Salman,

I work for CD-adapco in our consulting group and I'd recommend that you talk to a few people who will actually execute your project and find someone who understands what you're trying to achieve. From what I've read of your problem I don't think it's a particularly challenging CFD problem.

We have an office near LA. You should put us on your list of people to talk to. http://www.cd-adapco.com/about/global_locations.html

Best of luck - Mike
