outlet Boundary conditions

i am solving primitive variables using finite volume method staggered grid "stag.f" fortran code developed by peric.

peric is using LU stones algorithm to solve the equation. but many j.papers i found that they use ADI method to solve the equations.

ADI method needs unsteady state equations ie time derivative is included in the governing equations. But in journal papers they give governing equations with out time derivative.

my doubt is can we use time terivative just to solve the equation?

Suggest me that should i develop ADI solver? is ADI is the best method to solve?

Re: outlet Boundary conditions

ADI can be applied to equations without time derivative. In that case, the iteration process is rewritten as pseudo-time derivative.

Hai versi thanks can u explain me the difference between time derivative and pseudo-time derivative.
