About viscous dissipation understanding

Dear all,

I am interpreting a results, and i found out there is decrease of vorticity when the small eddies very near the solid boundaries.

and i found a post
http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/mai...ssipation.html
Smaller and Smaller Eddies are dissipated by the molecular viscosity near the wall. So it would be very important in the near solid boundaries.

but still hard for me to explain viscous dissipation in fluid mechanics

is there any good paper or book can help me understand it?

Thank you.

I found these 2 books very good.
1) Trubulence by Pope
2) Turbulent Flows by G. Biswas and K. Eswaran

Try also Viscous Fluid Flow by Frank White
