Hello:
I was wondering if someone could tell me how does a simple hand held fragrance sprayer generate a sprays with a wide cone angle. What are the requirements to generate a wide cone spray? Can someone point me to websites, literature or something similar? Thanks. |

hi....
wide spray cone angles can be generated by using a swirler before the nozzle.the centrifugal force produced by the swirling action helps to have wide cone angle. For reference the text book "Atomization and Sprays" by Arthur Lefebvre is excellent regards Kasyap |

Thanks for the reply. Given a simple pressure atomizer what are the ways to increase the spray angle. (No swirl)

hi....
for a simple pressure atomizer people sometimes use electrostatic charges to increase the cone angle....cavitation in controlld manner can increase the cone angle......a paper is there on the cone angle modification of spray by auxiliary coanda jets best regards Kasyap |
