After listening to the pronunciation of George W Bush last week ("Americans are addicted by oil") I've been asking myself:

Why do Americans spend so much money in war reasearching while (relatively) little money is destinated to alternative source fuels reaserching?

When a drug addicted person has no money or possibility to get her/his stuff...This person will be aggressively try to get it. A country which is oil addicted needs huge military power to get oil. See, just a couple of weeks for Irak. I could happen the same for Iran... And if dear Chavez continue talking bullshit...Venezuela's oil is USed.

For what do you need research on alternative source fuels?

To make a better world with less pollution, to be cured from this addiction, To make more money selling its fuel technology, to be less dependent of wars, to make a good look for the rest of the world (and for its own population), to help its population offering alternatives, etc..., etc..., etc...
