in gamma-Retheta transition model, iteration method should be used in empirical correlation for finding transition onset momentum thickness Reynold number. based on what Langtry mentioned in his thesis, it should converge after 10 iterations, but in my code, its error remains about 1.0e-3 and doesn't decrease after 1000 iterations. in this procedure two limitations should be considered in order to robustness of the formulas. after 3 iterations, this limitations don't satisfied and transition onset momentum thickness Reynold number become lower than 20 in grids near the flat plate. could anyone please tell me what exactly I should do if they pass the limitations? and also is there any other iteration methods which can be used for this purpose except the one that is mentioned in Langtry's thesis? |
