Cavity flows with Projection method(Kim&moin)
 
Hello guys. !
I'm studying Cavity flows with projection method.
In my fortran code, i used ADI method to solve pressure and NS equations.
But in case of over re=400, it does not converges ...
I have checked divergence and pressure residual for convergence.
Is there anyone who have any comments on me?
I don't know why it blows up.

if you are using central discretization then you can encounter numerical oscillations and possibly instability. How about your grid resolution?
How about your divergence error?

Dear Nanbrain,

From what I understand in your post, you use the projection Method as in the paper of Kim and Moin. But above Re=400, you can't have the convergence.

Many reasons can lead your code not to work.

Did you write your code as the publication? Did you follow every step? I'm pretty sure, yes.

So FMDenaro is right! What is your time step? What is your grid size? The error can come from the criteria of stability of the code. Indeed your time step is may be to high or your mesh size top small. It's may be an issue.
