Hi, I have a problem. I want to calculate an integral of a quantity UDS over an x

So let us say Q is that scalar Q=Q(x,y)

Now I want to calculate A(x)=integral Q dy.

I want to do this in fluent. Does anybody have any idea.

personally, I have never used Fluent to do any integration. But, I have used it to export values and then wrote a small loop to do the integration myself. You can export all kinds of variables (Under FILE -> export) You can write them as text and then bring them into Excel and do your integration there.

I have done it something like this. So let us say in order to have good integration. I must have 100 samples. It is a pain to save 100 files and name them and then do the analysis. Does anybody know easy metho ursing fluent or tecplot.

that is why you write a small loop to read your Fluent output. For example, say I wanted to check continuity of my fluent solution. So, I export my Ux and Vy velocity matrix from fluent into a Excell files. Then, I read those into MathCAD (in my case) and have a loop written that calculates the derivatives necessary for the continuity equation.
