Re: WHAT IS "FFT"

You probably mean "Fast Fourier Transform", which is a calculation trick using successive divisions by two to calculate the Fourier Transform rapidly.

Fourier transforms are ways to transform a dataset of a response variable of an independant variable into a sum (no doubt here a finite sum) of sine and cosine waves with integer frequencies through the dataset, having amplitudes calculated by the transform method. Often the independant variable is time or perhaps length.

Re: WHAT IS "FFT"

there are lot of references, just type fft in google, u will get immense references, or else take any mathes text book, u will find in detail

Another alternative is Numerical Recipes (Chap. 12) available online at http://www.library.cornell.edu/nr/cbookfpdf.html
