non-dimensional numbers -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

Suping Song Guest Posts: n/a	The non-dimensional numbers such as Re, Ra, and Nu etc are often used in fluid mechanics and heat transfer analysis. They are so important in determining flow and heat transfer physics. However, non-dimensional numbers are seldom created/used in solid mechanics and electromagnetics and magnetic recording. I wonder anyone could explain the reasons. Thanks. Suping
