flow in pipe with sphere suspended- choice of model
Im new to CFD modelling and have quite a wide problem to tackle. Ive got developing laminar (Re=1900) flow in a pipe and at its early stages it will go past a sphere- vortex loops should be shed behind it. I was thinking of transient- turbulent model, but I used it, and the vortices are not here (just symmetrical separation). Is it the pipe in which the flow occurs that changes it nature so much?
The thing is BL shape and thickness is crucial and I want to measure it before and after the stream hits the ball.
