I am new to KIVA and appreciate if anyone could provide assistance. We are trying to perform simulations for CI engine. However, ignition did not occur. While I adjusted cf1 in itape5 (increasing it), combustion seems to occur, however, the pressure and heat release are both now too big. Anyone can help me on this?

Thanks a lot.

Could be many things. For example too small fuel quantity to notice the effects, or too high tcut or tcute in itape5.

hello phil

I am also using kiva for spark ignition engines, and for combsution play with tcut and tcute in itape5

i have one question, for grid generation are you using k3prep (kiva3v rel2 )or some other pre processor code, because i am facing many problems for generating grid with four valve pentroof engine ( i tried to improve the grid density to the 4valve engine example , i am getting inverted cells) can you please suggest me the better way to generate grids using k3prep

hi,
I have some question . would you mind helping me?
1) I want to run the bore*stroke=76*66 in different compression ratio e.g.,12 and 20. How can i create this C.R ?
2) When i run bore*stroke = 86*86 for KivaTest ,it runs until -5 not 60 . what's the reason?
thanks in advance.
