Is there any logical or practical reason for witch we can not use a hybrid DSMC-naviere stoks method to solve the liquid flow in micro channels? In this kind of solutions we need the zeta potential to determine the source term in the momentum equation. This potential is a function of the ion distribution and is usually treated as a boundary condition which is constant .the use of a hybrid method could calculate the zeta potential and give us a better solution .although this was recommended in the "mems hand book" Gad al Hak in 2002 but this has not yet been done! I wonder why?

There has been work done in the field of hybrid simulations. One big problem with the hybrid simulation is the matching condition at the interface between the two domains. It is still not clear how to efficiently implement it.If you look in the Microflows book by karniadakis and beskok and the referecnes therein, you can find some work which has been done on that topic.

IP-DSMC is a different idea.
