Dear community,

I have been recently doing some research on Lattice Boltzmann Method.

My Phd first target is to develop a code able to simulate a particle that moves because of the drag of a poiseuille flow (500 > Re > 10).

I have started doing my code on fortran 90, but it seems that there is not many documentation or code surces for this language.

Which platform do you recommend me to work if I want to simulate 2D/3D some particles moved by a flow?

I would appreciate really much your response..

Have the best vacations of your life!!

I think Fortran 90 or C++ are fine choices. I've done lots of coding in Fortran 90 and there is lots of documentation and books out there. Also most packages even if they are in C or C++ can still be used easily with Fortran (e.g. MeTiS, PETSc, MPI).

use the language you are comfortable with.

If you wan to challenge yourself and learn more than use the language that you are not comfortable with.
