Hi,
If the fluid velocity decreases, will the turbulent flow boundary layer be thicker than before? Thanks!

Hi,
According to correlations for laminar and turbulent flow over flat plates, V decreases and Re decreases and boundary layer thickness increases. Delta/x = 5/sqrt(Re); Laminar, Delta/x = 0.16/(Re^0.1428); Turbulent. Regards. |
