Hi,
I am looking for a paper, which compares surface mounted cube LES calculations using van-leer and central differencing scheme. Does anybody have a tip? Greetings! fabian |

Hi there, I assume you are speaking about using these schemes on the convective term in the N-S equations?
I have not seen anyone to use Van Leer schemes for surface mounted cube LES calculations. In fact, if you are talking about a TVD Van Leer scheme, then it would be a very bad idea to use such a scheme. TVD schemes are limited by the maximum value on the boundary (or intial condition) (unless you have a source term). I would recommend using central differences for the convective fluxes in the N-S equations. |

Hi,
thanks, I was just wondering, if anybody compared the results (but why should one do it, if one knows the result before...!) fabian |
