Re: Restarting KIVA simulation

hi

you can restart the kiva simulation

in itape5

change

irest 0

to

irest 1 if it is first restart

irest 2 if it is second restart

irest 3 if it is third restart

and so on

one suggestion once you restart the simulation data files,itape9 and itape12 files will over write instead of appending those files. my suggestion is copy those files in some other directory or rename those files

wish you all the best anand

Re: Restarting KIVA simulation

Thank you very much for the reply. But this way the simulation proceeds with the small timestep that it had before the break. I wanted to know how to speed it up, or how to introduce a bigger timestep after it has been reduced to something like dt=2.5e-9 and run with it for certain period. I tried to do it in the code, but it influenced the solution. Othervise, what's the point of restarting it?
