Benchmark (Lid driven cavity, ...)

Dear

I need some benchmarks for validation of my transient incompressible flow code.

If anyone has original paper due to Gia ... (Lid driven cavity) and other benchmerk such as backward step send to me (via mail tav@mehr.sharif.edu).

Also, what is suitable benchmerk (with quantified results) for validation of transient case (cavity and ... are good for steady state)

with Regards.

We've startet do collect and document benchmark cases in CFD-Wiki. See here:

http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Valid...and_test_cases

It is still far from complete and need much more work, but it is still a good start. If you find other good benchmark cases which aren't included please consider helping us out and add those also to CFD-Wiki. Anyone can edit and contribute to CFD-Wiki.

Generally transient Burger's equation solution will provide a start. See the following link:

http://www.titanalgorithms.com/hyper...s/validations/

these are select validations of the Hyperion-TFS code but the analytical solution is also posted so you can test your own code. Other transient validations would be vortex sheding frequency.
