Low Reynolds Model Comparison
Hi folks!
I am coding some Low Reynolds k-ep models (Jones-Launder (JL) and Abe-Kondoh-Nagano (AKN)) and i'm testing them in a rectangular duct of 1 meter long just to see if the results are similar. However, after getting convergence and realiable (I believe) profiles for k, ep, and velocity, the pressure profiles are giving me some doubts. For the same geometry( the rectangular 1 meter duct) I get different pressure drops. Namely, with the AKN Low Re k-ep model I get larger pressure drops. Is this normal? Shouldn't the models provide similar results? I know the damping functions are different but the physics are the same. Hope some can clear this up. Thanks. Best regards, Rui Silva |
Could use some advice on this matter.
Also, does anyone have experience on the implementation of the epwall for earlier low reynolds models? Rui |
