Applicability of Euler Eqn Code to 2D open channel problems
Hello,
I'm wondering anyone can describe the limitations of two-dimensional Incompressible (Low Mach No.) Euler Equation codes to modeling real world open channel hydraulics problems. I recall potential flow and similar simplifications were appropriate if the fluid was accelerating for example. However, I'm looking to model piers and other obstacles in the flow (from plan view). I do not need to model the water surface only the general flow field. Any thoughts, advice? Thanks! |
