Default basic about turbulance modeling

hello everyone

I want to use turbulent models but dnt know which to use n also I don't the differences among the models.

so can u plz explain
what is RANS approach?
what is SAS approach?
DES approach?
LES approach?

I want to know actually what is basic differences among above model?
Is grid generation (meshing ) affects the selection of model of turbulence?


please reply as early as possible....

You should just read any good book about CFD. These questions are much too extensive for a forum. I doubt anyone will help you satisfactorily with that.

I agree ... just as suggestion, start from a reading of the Peric & Ferziger book then the Pope book. But you need time to go in ..
