Default Reading nth line from a file in FORTRAN 90

HI everybody is there neway to read nth line from a data file in fortran 90 directly. that is i dont want to use do i=1,n-1 technique as my file is really long.

I thoutghout you can use a direct method to read it! plese find a book for reference! since the read method can be diveded into "sequential and direct method

To do that the file must be created as direct access to begin with. If it was created as a sequential file you're stuck with reading each of the n-1 records first.
