Hi! How can I apply the periodic boundary condition when I use the DG method for just 1D parabolic equations like KdV ? Suppose I have N cells and the grid is [x(1), x(2), ...x(N+1)]

You apply the BCs in DG through your fluxes in a weak form.

Thanks, I understand now. Another question, the time step is very small when I apply the local DG method to the KdV equation. Does there exist some rules like dt = c*dx^3 ?
