I am trying to model the hypersonic flow over a blunt shaped Apollo capsule. I am a beginner at this, and I still I don't understand how to decide which solver is to be used. I went through many literatures related to this topic, and most of them seemed to use laminar. But over here, I have seen a couple of discussions where ppl have suggested using k-w model for this type of problem. And there is this professor at my university who suggested I should try inviscid. My free stream pressure and temp are 1064 pa and 234k respectively and I am trying to find the pressure, surface heat flux distribution and Cd acting on the capsule. Any one has any suggestions ?
