Dear CFD people

My problem includes flow over cylinders in narrow channel at low Reynolds Number. Which turbulence model will be more suitable.

Dear Muhammad,

I would suggest a k-family turbulence model with low Re correction, like the Low Re formulation of k-e model.

Regards,

Ganesh

If two-equation model does your job (no adverse pressure gradients and boundary layer separation), then Mentors SST model should do fairly well.

If you want to compute with Second-moment closures, I suggest to adopt models which use omega equation near the wall and epsilon equation away from the wall. In CFX this model is named as Second-moment omega model.

hope this will help you.
