hi guys,

could you tell me the number of p star that we should guess at the beginning of SIMPLE algorithm, is it dependent on the number of nodes??? for example there are 40 nodes and 40 pressure star must be guessed? !!! or there is another way ?

RodriguezFatz will become famous soon enough
Yes, every pressure value must be initialized at the beginning. Whether the number of values equals the number of nodes or not depends on your program. Some codes store variables on nodes, some in cells. But their number would also be the number of guessed pressures.

This is the same as for every other iterative numerical process. You need to initialize your field, before you can start your calculation.
sinagilassi likes this.
