Dear Friend

Please give your comment about this problem:

when liquid enter in the box cavity don't fill corners completely due to surface tension force, if we suppose the liquid has spherical curvature at corners, its radius of curvature is desirable as a hunction of hight of liquid and surface tension fore.

comment: i think balance between static pressure (rho*g*h) and surface tension force (\sigma*curvature) must be considered

curvature of spherical section is 2/R

so answer is probably R= (const \sigma)/(rho*g*h) what is const? (is sqrt(2)?)

any comment is appreciable and acknowledged in advance.

1) am slightly confused by your notation '\sigma'. Are you DIVIDING by sigma?

2) my own answer is the constant you are looking for is 2!

why root 2?

Thanks vena

\sigma mean sigma

it seems that const be equal to 2 but as i has answer key it satisfy only when i use sqrt(2) for const value.
