k-epsilon implementation at High Re for incompressible channel flowI'm having trouble implementing K-epsilon model in my code. This is what I'm doing.
I solve (with explicit time marching) k & epsilon transport equations in internal cells and use log law relation to get friction velocity at wall adjacent cells. That value of friction velocity helps me calculate Boundary values for k and epsilon (Drichlet treatment). Problem I'm getting is that even when my RE is 100,000, my velocity profile in channel still looks parabolic (like in laminar). I cannot understand what is the problem. Can someone please help me? If I cant do it, it will be a big trouble for me.:o. Thanks all. P.S: Turbulent quantities affect my mean momentum equation in two ways. My effective viscosity becomes laminar+turbulent viscosity and pressure becomes Pressure +(2/3)*k. |
