Default ray intersection with a curved surface

hallo everyone, Can some one point me to an algorithm for finding a ray intersection with a curved surface in 3 dimension, I do not know the goemetrical term for such a surface but it could be of any orientation in three dimension formed by 4 vertices. I have the following data, the 4 vertex coordinates and the ray. Just need to find whether that ray intersects with the surface. Regards gama
