RMS of lift coefficient
Hi all, Does anybody know how to calculate rms of lift and drag coefficients for flow around a cylinder?. Regards, David.

Hi David,
just apply the discretized formula on your samples. The formula can be found in wikipedia and it's valid for whichever function you want e.g Cl and Cd. Dario Ps: If you are analysing some impulsive started circular cylinder, make sure you start using the samples after "flow" started and your coefficients are harmonic. Otherwise it does not make a lot of sense. |
