Hi, I was wondering if anyone of you had come across thermal stress analysis for casting application. Any refrences/pointers would be higly appreciated. Thanks, Achilles

look at this book (FEM analysis with especial view on casting process simulation from macroscopic view point):

The Finite Element Method in Heat Transfer Analysis R. W. Lewis, Ken Morgan, H. R. Thomas, Kankanhalli Seetharamu

also check papers due to R. W. Lewis, he has some paper about this subject.
