Default Virtual mass force

Hi,

I am trying to include virtual mass force as an extra source term in my code. The virtual mass force is given by the phase material time derivative or the substantial derivative. In this derivative there is a transient term to be discretised, but my code is a steady state Eulerian-eulerian two fluid model. So how do I come around the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Glen.

Why do you think you need virtual mass force? Do you have interfacial pressure term in your code? When you build the code why choose steady state? What kind of processes are you going to study?

Thanks for replying,

Why do you think you need virtual mass force? I am trying to simulate bubbly flows, so (i think) it is a necessity to include the virtual mass force.

Do you have interfacial pressure term in your code? No. (Not yet)

When you build the code why choose steady state? Code I have(inhereted)is steady state.

What kind of processes are you going to study? Trying to see the process of small bubbles in boundary layer.

Thanks in advance, Glen.
