Default question about turbulence model for flow past 4 cylinders

eddard is on a distinguished road
which turbulence model should I use to simulate flow past 4 cylinders at a range of Re=1000 to Re=10000?
PS: Is 2D simulation suitable for this Re range? Should I carry out a 3D simulation?
