boundary condition

hi Guys:
i have question about boundary condition at the exit flow pipe on Gambit?
what is the difference between pressure outlet and outflow? TQ

As I understood about outlet and outflow is based on what kind of flow you are looking at , internal flow or external flow. If internal flow it is outlet condition, for external flow it is out flow condition.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you

When you set pressure outlet boundary condition, the flowfield is determined by the pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet.
When you set outflow boundary condition, the variables are extrapolated to the boundary from the interior nodes and you have zero gradient at the boundary
