Hi everybody,

can anybody tell me a reference, where I can find explanations about the limitations of the k-epsilon-turbulence model?
And I'm searching some data/ papers about the variation of the model constants c1 and c2!

Hi Jet,

k-epsilon is based on average velocity concept, that why it unable to reporoduce correctly turbulent wake behind the road car. It doesn't work for for hypersonic flow.

I can give you the rference tommorow if you want.

I am working in Turbulence Models,specially in k-espilon and k-omega models.So can you give some reference and material if you have.

Hi Jet,

I know that the k-epsilon model is not well adapted for modeling the wind. The turbulence model calculating the turbulent mixing-length would be more fitted to the atmospheric boundary layer. Below are some references about this topic:
