CFD Simulation of Stirred tank
I am simulating a stirred tank with gas-liquid flow for finding Mass transfer coefficient of gas in liquid. I am using Population balance model(Discrete) as the gas bubbles would break or coalesce during the flow. I have to give the discrete diameters of bubbles as an input that can occur in the tank during the flow. How do I find out the range of diameters of bubbles that will exist in the tank????? Please help!!!
You have to develop a discretization scheme to distribute the bubble diameters
among the min and max. In the CFX 5 manual there is such thing for MUSIG model,
Giving three laws os discretization: equal mass, equal diameter and other. You should check it out.
