An advice on general fluid meca knowledge ?

Hi all, I've just designed an airfoil, and I'm wondering how to predict the aerodynamic performances...

I don't know if there are theoritical or numerical methods... Do you know some ? (Even only the name, and I would be able to look in books, or else.)

Many thanks !!

Sak

if you send me your email (mc02610@mail.ntua.gr) i can send you a simple Fortran code you'll be able to use it if you are familiar with Bezier points geometry

I guess that's a numerical solution...

Do you know some theoritical ways ? Is there any way to solve or approach the solution this problem by quick hand made formulas ?

By the way, I'm also intersested in your Fortran code... !

Try Funfamentals of aerodynamics by anderson ,chapter 4.7

Its about Thin airfoil Theory .

You place a number of vortex on the chort line, its easy you'll get it.
